How to use Segtnan:
You go to your testing center or medical lab and download the app.
Once you download the app you will get a Unique Universal Identifier (UUI). This keeps track of your test and keeps your medical data completely private.
You then answer a few questions and a result- score will be calculated by an algorithm based on the probability of being contaminated with the pathogen.
The score defines whether the biological sample should be analyzed as a single sample (1:1) or whether it can be pooled together with other samples , f.ex in a pool with four or eight other samples.

After you answer the questions on the app, your test will be sent to the laboratory where it gets physically sorted, based on the Result you get. This makes it possible to use the scientific principle of pooling although the prevalence of the virus is high. Previously pooling has not been possible to use if the prevalence of the virus is above 10 %. With our It-system it is now possible to use group testing regardless of prevalence. The use of pooling greatly reduces the time it takes to receive results and significantly reduces plastic and CO2 emission spent on testing.
